Sukkot inspired song.
Verse 1– The King’s Invitation (Matthew 22)
Verse 2– The Ten Virgins (Matthew 25)
Verse 3– The Faithful Servants (Luke 12)
Verse 4– The Feast of Tabernacles (Sukkot)

[Verse 1]
The King prepared His feast,
The hall was decked out right.
He called His chosen guests,
But they refused the night.
They turned their hearts away,
Ignored His wedding call,
So mercy reached the lost,
The broken, least of all.
He sent His servants out,
Through streets and alleyways,
To gather all who would,
And dressed them for His Day.
They came from east and west,
The beggars, poor, and lame,
Given a robe of white,
Each soul that took his name.

[Chorus]
I want to be there, Lord,
When the trumpets sound.
My heart, awake and pure,
When You touch the ground.
Keep my lamp burning,
Till I take your hand.
I want to be there, Lord,
At the Supper of the Lamb.

[Verse 2]
Ten virgins watched the skies,
Their lamps - burning low.
All ten started bright,
Now five, no flame to show.
They all grew tired and slept—
The groom had been a while...
Then came the midnight shout,
“Behold, the Groom! Arise!”
The wise refilled their lamps,
Their light cut through the gloom.
The foolish ran for oil,
But found a sealed-up room.
The door was closed to them,
The Bridegroom’s voice was clear,
“I don’t know who you are—
You are not welcome here!”
[Chorus]
I want to be there, Lord,
When the trumpets sound.
My heart, awake and pure,
When You touch the ground.
Keep my lamp burning,
Till I take your hand.
I want to be there, Lord,
At the Supper of the Lamb.

[Verse 3]
The Master left His home,
But promised He’d return.
He said, “Keep watch in faith,
Till morning brings the dawn.”
The house should never sleep,
The gate should never close,
The faithful stand prepared,
For only Heaven knows.
He’ll come when least expected,
And find His servants true.
He’ll gird Himself with love,
And serve His chosen few.
He’ll fill their cup of joy,
He’ll serve the bread of grace,
The servant will rejoice,
And see Him face to face.
[Interlude]
[Verse 4]
The harvest moon will rise,
The fields are gathered in.
The nations bring their praise,
Yahweh dwells with us again!
The tents are built with palms,
Their banners lift the Name.
The King of Heaven and Earth,
His majesty proclaim.
The Bride, adorned in white,
The Groom extends His hand.
They dance beneath the stars,
Throughout the promised land.
Lift your voices loud,
sound a shofar blast-
The feast of joy begins,
He has come at last!.

[Chorus]
I want to be there, Lord,
When the trumpets sound.
My heart, awake and pure,
When You touch the ground.
Keep my lamp burning,
Till I take your hand.
I want to be there, Lord,
At the Supper of the Lamb.

[Chorus]
I will be there, Lord,
When the trumpets sound.
My soul alive with light,
When You touch the ground.
Keep my lamp burning,
Till I take your hand.
I will be there, Lord,
At the Supper of the Lamb.
