A total rewrite, but based on the hymn "Once in sin I served, a slave" by Charles Austin Miles (1868-1946)

Once in sin I served, a slave,
Bound in chains, I couldn't break,
But now I'm free, oh, what a change,
Yeshua's grace has set me straight.

Once in sin served, a slave,
In suffering and affliction,
Sin had me captive, held me tight,
Lorded over day and night.

But now I'm free, His grace found me,
From sin's bondage, I am freed,
I'm drinking from the living stream,
Salvation's feast, a bounteous dream.

Saved by grace, oh, saved by grace,
Yeshua's love, it took my place,
Overflowing joy and praise,
Oh, halleluYah, I'm saved by grace!

Struggled vainly to escape,
Groaning in desperation,
Unaware that Yeshua's love,
Had set me free from up above.

But now I'm free, His grace found me,
From sin's bondage, I am freed,
I'm drinking from the living stream,
Salvation's feast, a bounteous dream.

Saved by grace, oh, saved by grace,
Yeshua's love, it took my place,
Overflowing joy and praise,
Oh, halleluYah, I'm saved by grace!

His wondrous grace has found me here,
From sin's chains, I'm finally clear,
I'm singing now with all my might,
Yeshua's love, my guiding light.

But now I'm free, His grace found me,
From sin's bondage, I am freed,
I'm drinking from the living stream,
Salvation's feast, a bounteous dream.

Saved by grace, oh, saved by grace,
Saviour's love, it took my place,
Overflowing joy and praise,
Oh, halleluYah, I'm saved by grace!
